I like it. The G8 looks subtly aggressive, like the 1964 GTO. The G8 show car looks like the epitome of what an American sport sedan should be. This is a big difference from the SHO Taurus, that’s for sure. I look forward to the magazine previews in the coming months.

One question: Where’s the next GTO?

My initial thoughts are that this new rwd G8 is going to be a wonderfully balanced and powerful family hauler. Just what the doctor ordered.!!
    Way to go GM.

Most users in the Internet run the video is a small window of their monitor. It is difficult to see any detail when the scenes are not well lit. I suggest the following: drop flashy graphics and show a clean well lit video to get the message across.

I cannot get excited over a rubber burning, gas guzzling contraption imported directly from our irresponsible past when we thought clean air and water were free and eternal. Shame on you GM for perpetuating such foolish toys. 0 to oblivion is the only measure by which your performance will be noted.

    Hey, Corto!

Now that you’ve hugged your tree today, please go out and buy a Prius, then enlighten us on how you’ve solved the disposal issue for the 550 Lb. Nickel-Hydride battery on your “environmentally responsible” vehicle. Meanwhile, make sure you keep to the right on the interstate as I zip past you in my 362 hp V8 powered GM sedan getting 30+ mpg while meeting ULEV standards.

Great car with world class styling, performance and MPG.

Corto: Remember that GM can put a Two-Mode Hybrid system into the G8 and even without it the MPG delivered is better than most (if not all) of the G8 competitors. The G8 also can be equipped with a V6.

If a performance sedan is not what you want then you may have noticed the sporty Astra 3 and 5 door hatch GM introduced at the Chicago show.

I absolutely love this car. My only complaint is the big antenna in the back. Scratch that and wow, what a great looking car!

I have always been a fan of the GM line-up especially Pontiac. This car is going to be a best-seller. This thing is d*mn awesome. I know that my a couple of my buddies, my cousin, my sister, and I are all getting the G8 GT. If there is a GXP the following year I’ll get it too. Kudos to Pontiac…

Awesome car, i’m in love with it and i’m so glad it’s making it’s way to the U.S.! You guys are making it difficult for me to choose my next vehicle. So far my choices are between the new Malibu, G8, Astra, or Aura.. and if those SUV’s were in my price range i’d buy one of those. Great job, I can’t wait to buy an American vehicle next time around!

What a great look for a American made car…finally GM has stepped-up with a car that many europeans will soon be purchasing and getting to apreciate american made horsepower-watch out Lexus and BMW. Watch out for me this summer on interstate 95 while I got the hammer down.
    Great job GM/Pontiac!!

Pontiac states that the 20 inch wheels won’t make it to production. But I wonder if the 19inch wheels that are going to be available will be the same style? So lame that Pontiac teases us with those super nice brakes but won’t make it to production, weak!!!!

AWESOME JOB GM.. I am putting my deposit for a 6 speed GT. You should have done this a long time ago (GTO was a great idea, but a 4 door is a M5 challenger). I was frustrated because they were no new cars (affordable) I was interested on getting and now .. BOOM in a big way.

For the Hybrid crowd.. the Malibu will come hybrid with a great price, leave this toy for the Petrol Heads.. We deserve it..
